Holding down alt with brush tool no longer samples like eyedrop tool...

I've been using Photoshop for a while and my go-to shortcut to scroll-zoom or sample colors with the brush tool has always been holding the option/alt key. I don't know why all of a sudden it stopped working in the middle of me working on something in Photoshop, not having this shortcut is super annoying especially since it's become such an integral part of my habits when working. Any help is appreciated 🙂

    Okay, so I fixed the issue. I believe my scroll lock or something was on, the third light above my keyboard was on. I held down the function key and pressed option/alt and now it works just fine. Thank you

      It still works, check options for Eyedropper tool in the Options bar. Set Sample to All Layers and Point Sample to recommended 3x3 or Point Sample if you are working with small dimension images.
