Home button greyed out

I have everything working OK in versions 24.1.0 but if I update to a 24.3 or higher the home icon is greyed out and home screen not accessible however I try. I've tried reinstalling, removing photoshop completely and always the same. tried selecting and deselecting "auto show the home screen", does nothing. Have to downgrade to 24.1 to get the home screen back.

Hi @steveh040485 have you tried resetting your preferences under Preferences/General? If no improvment, go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

Hi @steveh040485 I see you are on a Mac. Can you try going to Apple System Settings/Security and Privacy/Full Disk Access and make sure PS is listed and active? Restart your PS.

I have now tried all versions 24.2 – 24.5 and all no good, however 24.1.1 and lower work fine – all show the home screen and my cloud photos…

Hi @steveh040485 it may be time to do a full clean install of everything.

Run this to remove all Adobe applications and resources and then download the CC desktop app and do a fresh install. Having all these various versions on the same Mac could be causing the issue.

Hi again, thanks for your help. I have done this and no luck. So I wiped my drive, reinstalled OS and backed up from Macbook 16 which was working ok. All good now, no idea why. I think it may have been some of the plugins, of which I had many on the Macbook Air. So all good now, and thanks again
