Question

How can I arch text perfectly?

I am going to edit - transform - warp - arch, and setting the bend at 10. It's not incredibley noticable, but if I draw a line under the text, the leftmost letter is lower than the rightmost letter. Is there a way to fix this?

See if turning the text layer to a Smart Object then going to Edit>Transform Warp>Arch yields better results.

Thanks. I did try that, but the same, crooked result.

Do you know how I might be able to center it in the middle of the bend?

Before you curve the type center your copy. Then add the curve as you see fit.

The first thing that comes to mind is following up with Free Transform to rotate it slightly.  You could use a guide to make sure it is perfectly straight.

Thanks, I can do that, but was hoping for a shortcut, as I'm planning to do this with many different files. I really do appreicate the response. I'll probably do it that way if I cannot figure out another way.
