How can I open a PSD file as a ASL file?

I have looked every where for an answer on how to open a psd file as a asl file; I have yet find an answaer. If any can help me with this issue, it be very useful to me and I would be very thankful. Thank You.

An ASL file is a Style file used to save Styles from the Styles panel.

Jamie - why not just drag the layer styles in your PSD directly to the styles panel then save them as an ASL file

Why would you want to if the file is not an ASL file? Once opened, it doesn't matter about the format, until you save again.
