How can I refine edge using select and mask

I am having trouble refining the edge of this man's hair. I selected by "select and mask" and "select subject" and then check "smart radius".  When I try to refine edge, there is always a green edge that's left around his hair. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here!!!

Thank you. This worked beautifully! It's funny, I spent about 30 minutes with an adobe specialist on this, watching him paint with the refine edge tool over and over with zero results and then in exasperation he finally admitted there was nothing he could do to help me on it. He was totally unaware of "decontaminate colors"!

Have you tried using 'Decontaminate Colors' in Select & Mask?

Another option is to OK the selection, and add a Hue/Saturation Adjustment layer

Use the Master dropdown and select green or yellow (or use the little hand icon and click on the problem colour) and drage the saturation slider to the left.

Invert the layer mask, and paint over the problem areas with white in the layer mask.

Hi Trevor, I've looked all over and can't find "decontaminate colors" in

select and mask. Can you please tell me where that is? I'm using cc the

    latest version.

I did the hue saturation slider and that worked pretty well.

    Thank you.
