How come v25.9.1 not v26?

With each month comes an updated version of Photoshop (25.3, 25.5, 25.7 etc) but this month seems to only have a point release = v25.9.1

Is that it for June 2024? or is there possibly a v26 waiting in the wings or will that be saved for another big update at some point in the future - maybe a "new" version?

I know there's no knowing what Adobe has in mind as only they know what's going on!

The question should be: Why v25.9.1 and not v25.10?

In version number syntax, the dot is not a decimal point but a divider.

Adobe MAX (their big annual developer conference) is in October. New versions of everything will be released there.

@FrankWhittle version 25.9.1 was a minor bug fix

Major updates are usually released around October/November, so version 26.0 should be released around then

Do you think that's it for the "June" update? and if the major updates are usually released around October/November then I guess ther'll be a few "point" releases between now and then 😉

What Ged is saying is that the beta version, always a few builds ahead, is at 25.11. The beta version is just for testing purposes.

The regular production version is currently 25.9.1.

These minor releases come as bug fixes are finalized, at irregular intervals. There's no schedule.

Thanks - is there anywhere to see what changed between 25.9 and 25.91 in a little bit more detail?
