Question

How do I add "Delete and fill selection" to an action

I've been using the Delete and fill selection.  It works pretty well most of the time.  BUT, there are times when it works better if I do the selection then do a Select>modify>Expand>and add a few pixels.  Then do a Select>Modify>and feather about half the size of the added pixels.

I'd like to put this in an action, but I can't figure out how to put the "Delete and fill selection" INTO the action.  I can use the shortcut Shift+backspace, and it appears to work, but HOW do I put this in an action?

Either record it or insert it using Edit > Fill (action menu, insert menu command).

I'm pretty sure this is not an "Edit>Fill".  The command is on the context menu of the Object Selection Tool, and as far as I know, it has no menu equivalent.  So, NO, there's no "record" it that I can find, and the Insert Menu command doesn't appear to apply.

Does anyone know how to insert a command from a context menu into an action - specifically the "Delete and Fill Selection"?

Actually, no, Content-Aware Fill doesn't product an "identical result".  If it did, I wouldn't be asking how to get this command into an action.  But, I don't know if it's not possible, or if nobody seeing this knows how to do it, or what, but I think it's time to give it up in this forum...  Thanks for the replies...

Actually you don’t seem to have read what I wrote attentively.

You seem to have ignored the part about expanding the Selection (in my test 14px seems to work).
