How do I apply an adjustment layer to layer directly below

Explorer ,

hi,

I used to be able to hover over the adjustment layer, (i.e. solid fill colour) and press the option key to apply only to layer directly below. Has this feature been taken away? I cannot get it to work!

Thanks,

Naomi

Nevermind i got it to work. It's just very fiddly, and sometimes does not reveal itself easily.

Alt/Opt + Ctrl/Cmd + G is shortcut, by the way. There is and option in the Layers panel menu > Create/Release Clipping Mask.
