How do I apply curves saturation hues to only one layer?

Using the latest CC in Catalina, how do I apply a curve, hue, saturation, color change to only one layer in the stack? Is it select the layer, then go to Properties? But how do I readjust this one layer adjustment?

Clip the adjustment layer to the underlying pixel layer. Hold Alt and click between the two layers in the panel.
