Hi

I would like to create a font similar to this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Electric-City-Tees-Mykonos-Retro/dp/B079L311ZH/ref=sr_1_19?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&...

Would appreciate your help!

Thanks.

If you are talking about an actual font this would seem to be the wrong Forum.

If you are talking about editing text Illustrator would seem like a better choice but in Photoshop you could convert a Type Layer to a Shape Layer (Type > Convert to Shape) and then Edith the Paths manually.

As stated before: convert a Type Layer to a Shape Layer (Type > Convert to Shape)

Those dots mark the points of the Paths.

Editing a Path, once it exists, can be done with the Pen Tool (P) and the modifier keys (cmd-click to select a point, cmd-shift-click to add or subtract points to and from the selection) or the Direct Selection Tool (A).

To open a Path select a point and delete it.

To pick up the Path click its endpoint with the Pen Tool.

The shift-key locks movement and new point creation to to certain angles.

Maybe the method davescm  described fits your need better for now.

Adding additional shapes and a Group may seem to add more complexity but that way the individual elements retain easy edibility.

You PMd me to ask how to add the rectangle shapes.
Use the rectangle shape tool and in the option bar set Fill to a colour (any colour) and stroke to none and path options to new layer. Then click and  drag the rectangle out with the mouse

Hi

Just type with an ordinary font then :

1. Add rectangular shapes under your text.

2. Put the text and shapes in a group.

3. Clip the texture to the group (Alt-Click on border between texture layer and group in the layers panel)
