How do I fix this image so it is smooth lines and not pixelated for the outline?

I have never asked a question here, and I do not know much, so please be kind. I just really need to fix this image.

I have an image that someone else created that I need to fix for work. The outline is pixelated, and the color is not solid. It's like they copied it and then made it vector somehow. How do I get the edges smooth and the color solid? Please and thank you.

This appears that you are zoomed in quite close. Depending on how small this image is - you may have issues getting the exact smooth outline. Zoom out to 100% - how does it look then?

It also appears there is a path in this documen t that you can use to stroke or fill the path (use the buttons at the bottom of the Paths Panel).
