How do I get the grid to turn off?

I'm watching a tutorial on Udemy and the instructor said to turn the grid on but now I can't turn it off! I've tried closing photoshop and then reopening it but the grid is still there when I open a document. I've even tried resetting my preferences and closing and reopening photoshop but no matter what the grid is still there??

How can I turn the grid off, please?

Go to View>Show> and uncheck "Grid"
