How do I get to regular Photoshop 2024 to ask my ?'s please?

How to open more than one image at a time in Photoshop 2024 (subscription) please?

How do I get my windows to lock to the R of my work area instead of floating in space, not attached please?

How do I get my working image to not fly up to upper L corner of work space but goes beyond workspace except just lower R corner?

Thank you.

What does these mean please?  1. Maximize your app.
2. Dock image tabs inside your workspace. = windows refusing to dock inside workspace.

You don't need to maximize your app. That just means it will take over your entire desktop. What happens when you choose a new workspace and reset it? Under Window, workspaces, choose Essentials. Then go to the same menu and choose reset essentials. You should have everything docked neatly when you do that.

Your Layers panel is docked. To dock the others you need to grab them by the name of the panel - the tab, and drag them over the layers panel or just to the left side. You need to do this slowly - no fast mouse movements and keep your mouse held down. As you move over the are you will see a horizontal or vertal blue line, let go of the mouse and you will have docked your panel.

I dragged the character and paragraph group to the very bottom of the
screen and bottom of layers... it did dock... finally!!! but then I tried
w. color... and now the color palette is really long... how do I shorten it
please?

And once docked in one image... will the palettes stay docked in other
images?

Thanks.

I added an extra window which I don't normally need (gradients) to get the palettes to shorten up but would prefer to just have my important palettes and not extras.

***Plz see my reply to Nancy. I still need to find out how to open how ever many images I want open as separate images stacked on top of each other on workspace.

Tabs and Tiling do NOT work and are not what I am trying to get back to.

Yes, maximizing window just blocks what is under Photoshop so I can't access things to use them.

Thanks again all for trying to help.

Hi
I've merged the new thread you started with all the attachments, with the existing thread that was already open. Putting both in one thread makes it easier for those answering.

Thanks Dave.
Now does anyone know how to open multiple windows so I can work.
Trying to get back to the forum page and having a bit of time trying to
find it... so I can post the Dog Puppet image I created to show that I
start with a main image upper L corner... then make the other open windows
smaller and off to side so can drag or copy paste to the now
enlarged canvas to create an image of multiple things.

Thanks Dave for merging things to make it easier. Is this still merged into the others... or am I going to the wrong place to get the drag and drop files instead of just text?

This is not tiling.

I overnighted to the CEO Adobe. Fri, Dave from India from Adobe called and Yes!!!!!

He was able to help me.

Open new file. Drag 1st image over and place and click on check mark on top R. Then drag next image you want to add over and same thing. It works. (Tabbing and tiling were not the right answers.)

You can also drag and drop from Bridge or you desktop to add an image to your current file. The reason you received answers for tabbing and tiling is beause of how you asked your question. You asked how to open multiple images in PS. What you should have asked is how to add a picture to an existing document. You have to be very precise with what you are asking here in the communtiy.

I used to be able to open multiple documents at the same time. Now according to the prev. answers, I open one and then drag what I want onto the 1 instead of being able to open multiple documents at same time in Photoshop 2025. I was given all sorts of strange answers in past but not what I was looking for. Previously, I could open multiple documents at same time, make the ones I wanted small and drag off to the side or desktop and then copy paste what I wanted on the side ones (or copy the entire one on the side) and then I had made the canvas larger on the main one so I could paste over onto the main one.

That's no longer working + if I open a main document or page = and drag over what I want to it on the side of the larger canvas... it won't let me modify what I just dragged over.. it just places it. So I can't create one document with several images....Examples of previous work before I got my new computer attached.

Previously I would have one image, make the canvas larger and then copy paste from the other open documents/pages onto my main one to make one image with multiple pictures.

I hope I am making sense as I was getting all sorts of odd answers in past inc. something about tiling and I can't remember what else I was getting.

Just want to be able to open multiple images at same time like in past with my Photoshop 2023 & 2024
