Question

How do I invert a clipping mask?

Hi!

I would like to invert my clipping mask. So the black of the gradient layer would delete the overlapping part of the grid, so only what is not touched by the gradient remains. I would be left with what you can see in the second img. Done it before but it's been a while.

Thanks in advance!

A colleague ended up knowing how to do it.

You copy (in my case) the gradient layer, you make a layer mask for the grid layer and then in channels, you paste the gradient layer on the mask channel, et voila.

Normally you can invert a mask with COMMAND + I (on a Mac) or CTRL + I (on Windows).
