how do I reduce the size of a photo inserted in an email?

I can change the image size and print it correctly but when I include it in an email, it reverts to the original size and when the recipient who doesn't have photoshop receives it, it prints out only at the original size which truncates it. Is there a way to do this?

If your Mail application does not let you select a size as mine does, then set your rulers to pixels when sizing your image for email. You might start with somewhere around 1000 px for the width, give or take 200.

"That didn't work" can mean ever so many things. Please clarify and show screenshots.

When sending images and/or documents thru email i always zip the files so the email application doesn't mess with the files.
