How do I stop keyboard shotcuts for tools from scrolling?

Hi,

My Photoshop has updated and I really hate the scrolling between tools that it does when you press the keyboard shortcut. Before, I used to be able to press 'L' and the normal lassoo would come up and 'L' would be set to only that lassoo tool. If I wanted to change to another lassoo, I would hold down the lassoo tool and select another. Now, I cannot do this, I have to continually press 'L, L, L'

It's very annoying for some tools, where I quickly press 'B' for brush for example, and it doesnt give me the brush I want and I then have to keep pressing B until it lands on the one I want!

How do I turn this off and be able to select which tool I want by holding down on the tool bar?
