I have a document that has MULTIPLE shapes and it's severely bogging it down. I wanted to try to turn them into work paths instead so I won't have so many shape layers and maybe it'll run faster. When I highlight a shape with my select tool or by selecting the shape layer, the Make Work Path option in the paths panel is greyed out. A lot of my shapes are incomplete lines and some are perfect circles. I use shapes instead of paths so I can see what the stroke looks like live (instead of having to manually stroke the paths after creating them) but now I think it's bogging my doc down.
I really don't want to have to manually draw all these paths again, please help!
I have Windows 10 and am using version 24.7 Photoshop.
EDIT: I totally figured it out. If anybody has this issue, you can highlight all the paths in the paths panel and drag them down to the plus sign to copy a new path from them, then delete all the shape layers and the paths still remain. Yay!
