I know i have done this before successfully, but forget the steps. I have a black and white image that I want to place in in design. the background is white and the image is just black (vector). From within in design i want to be able to click on the image and change the color of the text to blue or purple, or yellow. I have tried this and failed, i changed the background to transparent, so when i place it in indesign it will let me change the background of the image to a different color, but not the text part. The text part just stays black. I was trying to upload an image of this, but it says the file is 'forbidden' so hopefully i have explained it well enough. Any help greatly appreciated in advance! Best, Maddy

Are we talking from PS or ID?
Anyway...
PS:
- use a solid-color adjustment layer
- set your color
- change blending mode to screen

Is the file actually vectors, or is it a raster file in only black and white?

It is that chinese text i just uploaded. So I want the text to be light light grey, and the background to be white. I don't want to use the paint bucket tool because i have 40 different ones (names) to do, so it will take too long. Hopefully this makes sense, again any help much appreciated!
