Hue/Saturation, Curves and Posterization or Threshold Adjustment Layers plus some sharpening if necessary should be useful.

Hello guys, i just wanted to ask how the efect on the man is called?

I would cal it a posterised b/w image with a color overlay.

But one need not necessarily go to full posterisation and could instead just create a high contrast b/w image.

As mentioned previously some sharpening might also have been involved.

If you go with a 2-step posterisation it might be beneficial for print quality purposes to create a high resolution bitmap negative copy and apply the color to that in the layout application (Indesign for example).

Otherwise a grayscale image could also be assigned the color in the layout application.
