How to center text vertically as in InDesign. When typesetting a manga I want to center the text block inside the cloud at once, is there not the same alignment as in InDesign?

I think they are asking about vertical alignment in a frame: Top, Middle, Bottom, Justify — as they are used to in InDesign.

No, sadly Photoshop does not have this ability. InDesign has robust text features, while Photoshop's strengths are with images. PS cannot do vertical alignment in a text frame.

You can also click the 3 dots to the right of the alignment tools in the Options bar to set the alignment to either the Selection or the Canvas in the dropdown menu that appears.

Hi @enperror:

Photoshop does have alignment buttons on the Options bar. With the Move tool active, select the text layer and the cloud layer and use the buttons outlined below.
