How to change borders of cropped clip?

I cropped a screen recording I made so it only shows the part I want. Thing is for some reason it keeps the original margins/borders. Screenshot for reference: https://postimg.cc/JGYpGBzG

Why does it do this? Most importantly, any way to adjust it?

Either you have Show transform controls checked, or you have instigated Free Transform.

If you check Delete cropped pixels in the Options Bar when cropping, that will also make it go away.

Ok hold on, looks promising but I can't see where to find these options/tabs. Looks like a different version as I dont' have those 3 dots nor a gear icon for Settings.
