How to change color of clone and paint brush tool pointer

Hi there, occasionally when using the clone or paint brush on a very light background the round circle that appears to assist in editing blends in to the lighter background and it is difficult to see.  Is there a way to change this?

Hi,

I moved this question from the non-product Lounge forum to Photoshop for Beginners.

You might want to change your screen name to something other than your email address as this is a public web  forum that's visible to anyone on the internet.

To answer your question, I don't know of any way to change individual tool colors.  However in Preferences, you can change the UI color Theme.  See screenshot from Photoshop CC 2017.

...and to add to Nancy’s remark: If the centre of the brush is hoovering over dark areas, the brush changes into a light shade, if the centre hoovers over a light area, the shape gets dark.
