Hello, I would first recomment to select a font that is gives a more devilish theme, such as a Blackletter/Fraktur.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraktur

In your Option bar for the text tool, click on the Font name selector, and just below, you can filter by "Gothic".

There are many fonts to be explored on your CC subscription: https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts?browse_mode=default&cc=true&max_styles=26&min_styles=1&tag=blackletter

Once you've selected the font and clicked on the image to type the text you want to have on screen, you can maybe play with some Layer Styles (Window>Styles)

More info: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/layer-effects-styles.html

In the Styles panel, click on the hamburger menu on the top right, select "legacy and more", this will load many more built-in styles.

Alt+Click on the "Legacy" folder, that opens all its sub-folders, and select either a metallic style, or the "Fire on black" preset of the KS's styles.
Here's a quick and dirty example:
Capture d’écran 2022-10-01 à 19.31.18.png

In the Layers Panel, you can now double-click on each of the effects contained in the style, and you can play with the settings, to discover how they interact.

As a more subdued alternative, you can also experiment with some orange Inner glow layer style on a metallic bevel...

Another idea would be to play around creating a blood layer style, (the search engines will help you)

But... do not apply it directly to the text: create another layer, paint on it with a round brush to create an horizontal line, and some drips, select this layer and the type layer, group them (Ctrl+G) and now apply the blood layer style to the group: you can then tweak/mask the painted layer to fit, while keeping the text editable, this is called non-destructive editing.

Is your text in a separate layer in your document, or is it just part of the image in a single layer file?

Instead of double-tapping the type, go to the Layers panel (Window menu) and double-click the "T" icon on the far left of the Type layer. This will switch to the Type tool and select the text on that layer.

If there is not a Type layer in the Layers panel, then Dave is correct that you do not have editable type — only pixels.

If you do have editable type, the Megadeth typeface is available on several free sites. I cannot vouch for them, as I do not use the free sites.
