How to copy settings from one laptop to another?

I am using Adobe Phoshop CC 2024 suite. I have purchaed a new laptop. How do I move settings from old laptop to new laptop? Also, how do I download new CC apps on new laptop? Kindly advise.

Download and install the Creative Cloud desktop app.

The downloaded setup file looks like this:

Sign in with your username and password. Install the individual applications from here.

If you have any custom actions, brushes, gradients etc, save them out from your old computer. You do this from the flyout menu in the panel. These can be reloaded in the new computer.

I would actually not recommend migrating/transferring settings in general. Settings may not mean exactly the same thing in the new environment. Preferences and settings (in fact the entire app configuration) are rewritten on every application exit, as opposed to read-only program files. This makes it vulnerable to corruption and errors. This can cause diffuse problems and unpredictable behavior.

Starting out with fresh preferences from time to time is always a good thing. I do that with every new major version, and I would most certainly do it with a new computer.

Oh, almost forgot: you are allowed two simultaneous activations/sign-ins. You should sign out from the old computer if you can, so as not to waste one. You can do it remotely later if you need that activation slot on another computer, but simpler to do it now.
