How to copy via drag and drop layer between artboards in one PS document

Hello, how can I copy a layer by drag and drop (usually done by alt+click and drag) between multiple artboards in one photoshop document please? Nothing is working for me, like: ctrl+click and drag or alt+click and drag. Please help

It works for me with v26.8.1, Windows 11. Perhaps you need to backup actions and other presets and reset your preferences.

Can you state your OS and Photoshop version, please? I just tried on macOS 15.5 and PS 26.8.1 and have no problems ALT-dragging a layer to a different Artboard. See attached screen capture. Try restarting your machine and give it another try.
