How to create a decal with multiple texture maps?

Community Beginner ,

How would I create a decal from something like this:

Capture.PNG

Basically I need to find out how to stack the images with the albedo on top, then find out the best way to cut out the yellow road line.

PS doesn't use this shading model, so I'm not even sure what you would do with these images. You could combine them using standard blending modes and be done with it, i.e. apply the AO and roughness images with Multiply on top of the Albedo/ Diffuse color. It's totally arbitrary either way.

Using Camera Raw’s Spot Removal Tool could be applied to several images (synchronized) but actually »cut out« seems a bit unclear to me.

Are you trying to isolate the yellow strip or remove it?

You Can Use Select> Color Range to make a selection depends on the color tone you need then you can edit your selection.

You can also use Window > Channels to edit your images depending on the image channels.

Hi

It is not clear what you want as your final output. As set of PBR maps or a 2D image. If it is the latter, make a 3D postcard, put the Albedo map, Roughness and Normal maps where shown and render it. Use Shift +Ctrl+N to create a new layer then Shift+Ctrl+Alt+E to create a rasterised  copy of the render. Then you can then use cloning/content aware fill  to cut out the yellow line.

I should have been a bit more clear I suppose, yes it just needs to be a 2d image, I'll insert the maps separately in the game engine but I'm mostly focused on how to get the yellow line cut out for all 4 images exactly the same so that I am just left with the yellow line.

I tired to find the option for the create of a 3d postcard but couldn't find it, is it supposed to be under the 3D dropdown?

Hi

From your screenshot, I can't see what is preventing that option from appearing in the 3D panel.

You appear to have the layer selected and are in RGB mode. Does the rest of the 3D functionality work for you in a new document?

That said, your explanation that you actually just want four new images all cropped the same way is easier. Load all the images into a single document with the Albedo at the top, as it is easier to see. Use the crop tool to crop the image to the yellow line. Then for each layer make that layer visible in the layers panel (eye symbol) and use File - Export - Save for web to export the visible layer as a separate new pig file. Repeat for the other layers.
