How would I be able to remove the yellow-marked parts of the hair while also having the new hair cut looking authentic?

I want the hair to look somewhat like the mock up picture.

Hi there,

You can use the Lasso Tool to create a selection of the unwanted area and then go to Edit > Content Aware Fill and click OK.

Once you have done that then you can use the Spot Healing Brush Tool to do some touch ups.
