How to design image without background for website?

Hi, everyone. I hope that all of you will be fine. Dear friends as I am new to the field of designing and photoshop. Most of the time I am doing designing for my own websites. As recently I have designed a logo for my new tech website. But when I upload the logo on my website so it showing white background. So is there any way that we can design an image without background in photoshop and upload it on website. I want to have just text of the logo. How will it be possible?

What is the opacity of the background layer? You can change it to 0 to make it transparent.

Also, for a transparent background, you can save it as a PNG file.

Thanks for mentioning the youtube tutorial. I learned it from there and now easily design png images. I have applied it on an image and uploaded that image on [weblink removed by moderator] which is now properly working. Once again thanks for your quick response.
