How To Draw Buildings?

Thanks for the suggestions. I would like to 3D Model buildings or find some premade assets, since I'm finding drawing buildings by hand (Mouse) really difficult. Especially with getting the scale and size right, as well as perspective. This is my progress from drawing so far:

I will mess with the color balance on some of the windows later. I just wish there was more I could do. I just suck at digital images, that's why I was sort of asking if there was an easier way to draw buildings.

I think I have a disability that doesn't allow me to put images on paper. I have an image in my head of what I want this cityscape to look like but I can't seem to put it on paper. It's the same with many other things I've tried, including music and writing.

One trick I learned is the way that most drawn anime is, it is apparently traced over some photographs, or takes inspiration from them. I did something similar regarding the grey apartment building there on the left (I'm pretty proud of it. It looks really cool). I just wish there was more I could do to make it stand out. I've got 6 over buildings to do, then I'll be done with this. I wouldn't mind some suggestions of what to make those buildings based on. (The city is for the most part a peaceful place, it's not rough, there is a story behind it.)

Just an FYI, I haven't had art training, I'm self taught for most of my art, with around 5 years on and off of experience with GIMP.

If you want to pursue 3D modelling instead of painting for buildings, which can give very photorealistic results,  I would recommend learning a full 3D application. Whilst Photoshop can handle simple shapes and extrusions, it's modelling capabilities are limited. I created the images below by modelling in Blender 3D:

I do know there is 3D software in Photoshop (Somewhere)

Photoshop’s 3D capabilities are somewhat limited and modelling is a rather weak point.

You could try finding free house-models on the web or buy them in 3D »warehouses« and combine the models in Photoshop and render them there.

Actually drawing them would seem like a pretty steep task …

• One way to increase the details might be using Patterns of flat repeating elements which could be used for the frontal sides outright and for the foreshortened as transformed Smart Objects.

• Or even applying such patterns to the simple cuboids (for example) Photoshop can create by default.

As you mentioned anime I wonder if you are actually trying to create comics/mangas?

If so you may want to consider – and I know it may seem peculiar to say that on a Photoshop Forum – using other software than Photoshop.

I am a professional Photoshop user and I used it for colorising comics in the past, but from what I hear from an acquaintance who is currently doing comics seriously it is not the best choice for that at this point.
