How to edit photos

Your question is too vague. What is it that you want to do, e.g. change colours, adjust contrast, add elements in (or take them out) ..etc?
If you are starting out in Photoshop, I would recommend you follow some basic tutorials such as those on Lynda.com which will introduce you to the tools and techniques.

You don't normally sort/delete Photos from within Photoshop. Is it Photoshop or Photoshop Elements that you are using?

I'm viewing a dozen photos in the software and some are undesirable or duplicates
Guess photoshop isn't what I'm looking for then.

If you want to organise, rank, … files you may want to try using Adobe Bridge.

Hi
Photoshop is normally used for manipulating images.
If you want to filter, sort, delete etc groups of images you can use either :
Bridge as suggested by c.pfaffenbilcher. Bridge comes with Photoshop but needs to be downloaded separately. It works with your folder structure and allows key-wording, ranking, renaming etc.
or
Lightroom - this comes as part of the Photography Plan subscription and works excellently alongside Photoshop. It works across your folder structure ( so you can import images from many folders and view them together). It also allows key-wording , ranking etc but also adds a develop section which works in a similar way to camera raw. You can also print from Lightroom. So you only need to go to Photoshop for more in depth pixel editing.

Thanks Dave
Sounds so difficult
I believe I need a less complicated photo editor and will keep looking.
I was used to Microsoft Photo Editor, and it was discontinued.

Take a look a Photoshop Elements - you can download a free trial and it may do everything you need.
