I need to erase the pictures that I no longer use in Photoshop. How can I do it?

As you open new files, the history of recently opened files will change.

Go to File > Open Recent > scroll down to Clear Recent File List.

Move unwanted pictures to the trash bin.

Do you mean:

  • Delete them from your computer
  • Remove them from the Welcome screen
  • Remove them from the Recent list in Photoshop
  • Remove them from the Recent list in the operating system?

Remove from the Welcome screen.

If the files you want to remove are in the Recent list, those are the same as the list under File > Open Recent.

Which means they can all be removed from the list by choosing File > Open Recent > Clear Recent File List.

That removes them from the list, not from the computer itself. And you can only clear them all, not pick and choose.

It’s kind of confusing: If you only delete the files from the computer, they will still be in the Recent list until you clear it; but if you only clear the list it doesn’t affect the actual files since it’s only a list. If you really want those files gone, do both: Delete them from your computer and clear the list in Photoshop.

If you are talking about files in the Cloud Documents list, that’s a different answer: Click the ellipsis menu (…) next to a file and choose Delete. Because those are cloud documents, Delete removes them from both the list and the cloud. (Though for a temporary period of time they will remain in the Deleted list in case you want to bring one back.)

User your file manager and delete the image files you no longer require.
