How to exaggerate the heathering on a shirt?

here is what the heathering of the shirt actually looks like:


this is the same shirt in the same color but it was edited to exaggerate the heathering:

 

I am trying to make the heathering of the first image look more exaggerated like the second image, and overall make the first image shirt look more like the shirt in the second image. How would you go about achieving this?
