When cropping a photo based on what I want to include and exclude in the composition by dragging the free form crop, how can I figure out what the aspect ratio is? Can this be determined in LR also?
Thanks in advance!
Why try to figure out a selection aspect ratio. If you want a particular Aspect Ratio set it in the tool you use. I do not use the crop tool. I use the rectangle marquee tool set to aspect ratio mode, or absolute size ans set the with and height in pixels for the aspect ration I want. I drag out the aspect ratio selection size I want then position the selection precisely with the arrow keys before using menu image crop.
Image size will give you the exact aspect ratio Width:Height. The ratio between sides.

For claarification, you mean you can choose from one of the cropping aspect ratio presets?
I was referring to being able to somehow use the freeform crop tool, crop an image to my liking, and then figure out easily what the aspect ratio is?
Thanks
