How to Fix Glitches When Working with Layers in 'Color' and 'Multiply' Modes

Experiencing glitches when working with layers in 'Color' and 'Multiply' modes can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to address these issues. First, ensure that your software is up to date, as updates often include bug fixes and performance improvements. Additionally, try resetting your preferences by holding down Alt+Shift+Ctrl (Windows) or Option+Shift+Command (Mac) while launching the application. This can resolve many common issues.

If the problem persists, check your system's performance settings. Increasing the amount of RAM allocated to the application can help, as well as ensuring your graphics driver is current. In some cases, switching to a different blending mode temporarily and then back to 'Color' or 'Multiply' can clear the glitch.

I've been experiencing some glitches when using layers in 'Color' and 'Multiply' modes in Adobe. The issue seems to affect my workflow, causing unexpected results and slowdowns. Has anyone else encountered this problem? What are the best solutions or workarounds to fix these glitches? Any advice from the [Mod: Link deleted, because SPAM ] community would be greatly appreciated!

Hey fund.

I've been having the same problem for a year and on different platforms (MacOs & Windows):

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/still-problems-with-glitches-when-working-under-layers-in-colour-multiply-etc-mode/idi-p/14622000

There are different ideas in the community to solve the problem but in my experience none of them really helped.

The only, unfortunately limited, workaround is to change the document mode from 8 bit to 16 bit mode. Limited because there are certain editing restrictions in this mode.

But maybe that will help you first.

I think there is something wrong in Photoshop. These glitches did not exist in versions prior to 24.xx. And switching the adjustment layers off and on after each brushstroke to see how it turned out can't be a solution.

I hope the problem will be solved soon...
