Question

How to get the 'image assets' function to stop skewing my exports

I am trying to do a mass export of multiple smart objects within a photoshop template file. I have all of my layers named the sizes that I need them (25x25 favicon.png, etc) But photoshop keeps autofilling the entire artboard with my image, skewing logos and other images.

What am I doing wrong? Is there any way to prevent this?

Thank you!

Are you using the "generate assets" workflow or are you using another method?
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/using/generate-assets-layers.html
Can you list the steps by steps of your workflow here?
It will help identify the issue (that shouldn't be happening)

And screenshots of the Photoshop interface with the layer panel visible are always welcome 😁

Hi! I am using File>Generator Plugin>Image Assets. Thank you!

I can't show the logo I am working with since it is for my place of work, but I tried to replicate it using a circle, hopefully that illustrates the issue I am having.

I need the logo to fit within this 800x300 box to send to my developers, but Photoshop is stretching the image to make it automatically fit to the artboard. Hopefully that makes sense!

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Ah sorry, I am afraid I cannot help as I don't have this plugin enabled (I do not authorise remote connections in my production machine)

Let's hope someone else will be able to help!
