How to get this look in Photoshop?

hi

I am pretty new here. and starting out with photoshop. Am trying to understand to how to get a certain look.

i have attached a couple of photos here. All these photos are pretty dark yet they retain all the details in the shadows. and how to get this moody tone? the details of the picture are given at the bottom edge.

Hi,

you can use Shadow/Highlights command under the Image-Adjustment menu. See below images.

You can use also Color Lookup... to find any interesting tones for images..

Also use Auto options .
