How to hide marching ants? Nothing works

I'm using Photoshop CS3 and command-H no longer hides the marching ants. I looked at the thread about how command-H has changed, but this did not help me. If I hit command-control-H, it hides Photoshop. Is "View Extras" the same as hiding the marching ants? It doesn't work. Please help, this is very annoying.
