how to I replace a word to other word in photoshop document

I want to replace word to other word by same document in photoshop. how can I do this. That mean I want to copy a word and paste other ward.

    You can easily do this if you have a live type layer in your PSD. If it's been rasterised and/or flattened you can't do it.

    If it has been rasterized you need to repair the background and then use the type tool to write your new text. It's feasible, but you better have the text in areas where the background is not that complex. I often have that situation when I need to exchange logos on pictures of machines because a company changed the logo. Signs are an other example, where it is relatively simple.

    A small hint for the future: Whenever you plan to rasterize type, first duplicate the type layer, then turn off the eye on the first one. It is a great spare-tire. You hope you won't need it in the future, but if you do, it's a relief to have it handy.
