I tried to import my gif images to photoshop but there is no option to do so. It says that the gif images are not a readable file when I try "import video frames into layers". Can anyone help me with that? Thanks a lot!

You should be able to use menu File>Open... navigate to the gif file you want to open highlight it then click on the open button.  To open the gif into a Photoshop document in Photoshop.    Animated Gif are not video files you can not import video frames from gif file.   If the gif file is and animated gif it should opened as a layered document with a frame animation time line which should animate when you click on its Play button.

hi Jmack...i understand how to open the animated giff ( a photologo animiated signature, in this instnace) and yes hitting the play button 'runs' the gif...My problem is to add it to an existing final image in photoshop. With allother 'photologo' signatures, i can add as a brush stroke, resize, recolour and add the filters, such as lighten or darken etc.. BUT i cannot appear to add the animated signature. I have spoke to Photologo, and they only offer a link in how to add to an exisiting video via imovie....not quite the same as i expected...so still no solution..
