How to majorly reduce the size of photoshop files

Hi there,

I am creating a booklet and have created each page separately in photoshop. I then exported each photoshop file to a pdf and put them all together in Adobe Acrobat to create the booklet. When doing this, the file size is way too large (around 20MB). I need the file size to be a lot smaller so I can email the file. Is there any way I can significantly reduce the file size without losing too much quality. Or is there a different way I should be going about this to create a smaller sized pdf.

I have tried all of the methods to creating smaller photoshop files but because I have so many pages, when putting them all together the pdf file is very large.

20 MB is not a big file at all.

If you need to squeeze this down to mail size - as long as it's understood that this file is for review and cannot actually be used for anything - you need jpeg compression, and lots of it. You can easily make a multi-page PDF in InDesign using the "smallest file" preset, and then crank up jpeg compression.

What is purpose of your final product? Printing, screen or both? You can not have lunch and money, you must decide what you need more. You have some options to reduce file size in Acrobat but all methods will cost you quality.

About emailing file: if that is your only concern then use Adobe storage then send link to download or use Google Drive, Dropbox or email file using wetransfer which is free up to 2GB files.

Hi,

I would like to create a version to print, and then also create a smaller file version to put on our website so it can be downloaded by users, or emailed if need be.

I also tried using Indesign and placed all of my photoshop files to each page to create it that way and still ended up with a file that was 15MB.
