How to make a projection effect in PS

I want to create a projection effect in PS similar to the image here. So far I'm not happy with the resultes. The attached image is not mine but just an example of what i'm trying to do.

Hi i think you should not post such images in forum, this effect can be done by overlay blending mode.....regards
