How to make logo and text look like it’s printed on a curved jar in Photoshop

Hi everyone,

I have a picture of a round jar, and I want to place a logo and some text so it looks like it’s actually printed on the jar.

I’ve tried:

  • Warp / Arch text → doesn’t follow the jar properly

  • Displace → didn’t get the realistic effect I want

  • Other free-transform tricks → alignment and perspective still look weird

No matter what I try, the text and logo look unnatural or distorted.

Can anyone explain the best workflow to make it look realistic on a curved jar? Screenshots or step-by-step advice would be amazing!

Thank you so much!スクリーンショット 2025-09-24 14.19.16.png

Hi,

Try put the text into a smart object. Then use Edit > Transform > Warp and choose the 'Cylinder' option

Hi!

Sorry for the late response — I didn’t get a notification and just realized.

Thank you for getting back to me.

I did try that, but this is how it looks in Photoshop.  The first and last letters aren’t showing properly. Also, I’d like the text to be aligned to the left, not all the way across. Do you have any tips, like maybe adjusting the text box settings or using a different alignment option?スクリーンショット 2025-09-27 22.03.03.png

@25138587sj55 Open the smart object and add some space before and after the text. You can also justify the text to the left/right/centre whilst you are there. Save the smart object and check the main image alignment.
Also make sure the warp follows the curve of the jar, your screenshot shows that yours does not at the right side of the image.
