How to move a photo from Mac library to creative cloud

I just downloaded and subscribed to PS and LR for the first time. I was somewhat familiar with PS6 years ago on a windows computer. I'm unfamiliar with CC and can't seem to find an answer to move a photo from my Mac photo library into any Adobe program. It just says unable to recognize files. What exactly do I have to do to access and import a photo file into CC?

Hi @Cheryl30527916o6v7 you have to drag the image out of your Apple Photos app to the desktop (or folder) then drag into Creative Cloud. You can't go direct from the Photos app window to the cloud.

Thank you so much for your help. I find this crazy to think I can't see my library photos in my Mac  and that I have to drag and drop a picture each time to my desktop to import. Is there really not a more direct way to access my photo library?
