I have added forty or more sky images to Sky Replacement in Photoshop. Given that they are now in Photoshop, is there any way to organize them, and to check that there are no duplicates?
Thanks

How do they show in the sky replacement panel?
Have you seen that we can create groups and drag presets into it by clicking on the wee cog icon?

OK. So can you not name the groups accordingly, and place each file where it best fits?
[EDIT] I have just tested and it lets me drag the default skies into a new group. Does that not work for you?

You can context-click on a group and elect to create a new group folder, then drag your thumbnails into the folder. No way to check for dupes.
Beware, the skies you added are NOT in Photoshop. They are copied to the Settings folder! If you delete the Settings folder (AKA Preferences), you will lose all of your work.
You can export selected skies as a preset, or just back up the Adobe Photoshop (X) Settings > Sky_Presets folder.
I've slammed this feature so often, I lost count a long time ago. It's a great feautre and one I do use but glad I don't use it everyday, or even every other week.

We were discussing this Windows file path here a few days ago:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2024\Required\Sky_Presets
But the exact same files can be found here.
C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2024\Adobe Photoshop 2024 Settings
The ...\Required\Sky_Presets folder contains a 6Mb DefaultSkies.sky file
The Adobe Photoshop 2024 Settings folder has these two .psp files
So I am guessing that placing your own JPGs in ether of those folders won't work because those extra files need to be aware of them. Someone needs to test. We have some nice skies here in New Zealand, and I try and grab them with my phone when out with my dog, so I really ought to get around to organising those files and sharing.

Presets are made out of the contents of the Sky_Presets files in Preferences (macOS). You cannot simply drop images into the folder and expect Photoshop to see them. You have to create the presets using the SR window.
There's no external organising options, you have to import skies, then create folders and drag and drop, or you can create the group folder first and then import files into it (best option, obviously).
When you import skies, they are stored in Preferences, NOT Application Support > Presets > Skies (expected by everyone except Adobe!). When you export your presets from SR, your assets are THEN added to the Skies folder in Application Support but you will also have them in two places now though as a wrapped file in Skies. If you do export, make sure you select the current version of Photoshop in the Save folder.
BTW, forgot to mention there is a New Sky Group icon in SR but NOT an export skies icon, though there's room to park another half a dozen.
