I have opened a tutorial named "How to paint a texture in adobe Photoshop", it is 1.30mins long and it shows you how to paint a texture on a flower. I have attemped this a few times but have not even got past the first task. My Command and Click option on the layer does nothing. Does anyone know of this tutorial. Would like to try this out on a few images. Is there an alternative tutorial that I could use, cant find one..

This tutorial

When you Command click on the layer thumbnail in the layers panel that loads a selection around the layer contents.

Look for the "marcing ants" around the flower after Command clicking the layer thumbnail.

Please provide a more meaningful description of the issue and include screenshots both of the tutorial (possibly the link, too) and of your screen (including the pertinent Panels like Tolbar, Options, Layers, …).

And an example of what you want to achieve; do you want to apply a »flat« texture, do you want to warp a texture along the surfaces of an object, …?
