How to paint with larger pixels?

I want to try this as in the following video.

YouTube - Pixel Art - Photoshop Tutorial

Now I want to draw not the small square pixels but want to paint the larger grids squares. How can I do that?

PS.: I do not know why I cannot place YouTube links in my posts nor do I understand all those different lettertype things. Sorry for that.

I would follow the steps in the video exactly as explained. Some of the major stand outs would be  creating a very small document at 72ppi, using the Pencil tool and making the changes in the Preferences. It’s a great tutorial, I learned some tricks while watching it.

If I can understand your question correctly then you can use or create custom square brush preset and paint with Pencil Tool.

i think you are in the wrong program. you should be in illustrator. you can make a grid and everything.
