how to: remove spot in an old photo

hello. i (noob) have an old photo wherein there is a spot in the photo that have a different color (like a stain) than the rest. i tried to google for how to remove it but i'm afraid i'm not using the correct search term as search results keeps turning up differently.

i hope someone can help me remove the stain in the photo. i have attached that portion of the photo.
