How to reset the default values of Layer Styles

I've watched a few YouTube videos in which the presenter says to reset the Layer Style values to Default.

Sounds good, but if you've ever made an adjustment and clicked "Make Default", it becomes THE default going forward.

How do you reset all of the Layer Style tabs back to the factory defaults?

Thanks!

I was hoping to find a section in Illustrator's preferences where I could select individual modules to reset to default. It appeared that resetting everything to default would potentially be time consuming, so I went back to a couple of the videos and stopped the playback immediately after he reset to the defaults and reentered the settings on the video to the boxes on my screen. I had to do that on several of the layer styles he used in the effect.

@mjackson8300235139681 the only way I can think of to reset all styles to defaults is a preference reset

try manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

Remember to backup your settings before doing the preference reset
