how to resize an ebook cover to make a bookmark

Community Beginner ,

Hi All!

I need a little help. I have a layered book cover that is editable and I'd like to resize it to 2"x6" to create a book mark. It sounds simple enough but when I create the bookmark borders the actual book cover doesn't crop to fit. Or perhaps I'm not doing something to make it crop to fit the borders.

Any help that anyone can offer is greatly accepted.

Thanks and Have a Blessed Day!

Hi Nancy!

Thank you soooo much for getting back to me so soon! But guess what? I

finally figured out that I couldn't change the size of the image (Yes, I

wanted to resize the whole thing) because it was locked.

I guess my coffee hadn't kicked in right away

So, once I unlocked the pic, resizing was a lot easier and I got what I

needed.

Thank You Again!

Have a Blessed Day!

What is the height, width and resolution of your original image?  Image > Image Size.

Are you resizing the image or the Canvas around the image?

sometimes it helps to show us what you are doing. Capture your entire screen with the layers panel open and any collapsed layers, expanded so we can see them. In you case also access the image size dialog box (Image>Image Size) and capture it so we can see the values. This capture can be a separate image.

Resize it to the size you want (in pixels) and then add the border and save it as a jog.
