Newest version 23.02 is crashing and screen not refreshing (like, using Paths tool but won't show paths until I resize).  UNUSEABLE!

Running Windows 10

Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz

Is there any way to roll back to earlier versions?  I dont see an option for that in CC

I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system. If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html

If the screen isn't refreshing, that means a GPU issue - and is also like the cause of any crashes.

Please try the following:

  1. Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?
  2. Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Use Graphics Processor. Restart Photoshop. Does the problem persist?

If you did not remove prior version of Photoshop you  simply use the other older versions of Photoshop.  If you have problem using  the current  version.x update  your have to reinstall version.x-1.  You should always have more than one version of Photoshop installed. I would also recommend that you not have Adobe Auto update enabled and when you update the use the advance install option to override Adobe default option to remove old application version.  Adobe new releases  and updates have new issues.

If you wish to roll back to an older version, use the CC application, click on the three dots (...) and select “Other Versions”.

But before doing so, you might try resetting your preferences.  Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings.

Thank you for that, I am hating all the changes they are making to the program and want to keep working with what I know. I really don't like how they are changing the way my tools work, and the changes aren't always good. Keep AI out of it, or start a different type of photoshop.
